Men and body image is an issue that presents itself across the globe through different ethnic groups. According to the article mirror, mirror, “In a study of British and Uganda students evaluation of body-shapes, they were also more tolerant of too-skinny males.” [1] It shows how the issue in other countries presents itself in different they view men as not having to be so skinny. The global issue is so difficult to address because it a lot of hidden research. As stated in the in the article corruption it said “corruption scandals that sometimes makes headlines news in western media can often b worse in developing countries." It shows that the many countries in the globe are very hard to make real facts. The issue of men and body image is present around the world cause everyone faces the issue of how they look and what makes them appeal attractive by the media. In the article Why Do We Struggle With Beauty and Body Image? “The whole beauty industry is built on, “You’re not OK the way you are. We’ll make you better.” It would seem bizarre to us today, but 50 years ago, when television was brand new, there were commercials that would say, “Gain 10 pounds in a week, guaranteed.”[2] This explains that media for as long that it been out it has always try to persuade that we are not good looking and that we need to look a certain way to fit in society. This is how the issue of men body image is presented in the globe.
